How Strong?
Like a diamond, Sea King Ultra® fiber draws it’s strength and abrasion resistance from a high degree of carbon-to-carbon molecular bonding. Studies have shown that pound for pound, Sea King Ultra® is 10 times stronger than steel. With a specific gravity of 0.97, it is light enough to float on water! With virtually no “memory,” Ultra lines stay supple, even when stored on a reel for months.

How Small?
Sea King Ultra’s® twisted construction offers smaller diameters and higher line strength than braided lines. Ultra comes in 10# ,14#, 20#, 30#, 42#, 50#, 55#, 75# test, in put-ups of 150 yard, 300 yard, & 1200 yard spools. The 20# test line measures a mere .008” about the diameter of a 6# monofilament line.

For Bottom Fishing
The sensitivity is unmatched as action is transmitted up the line almost immediately. The Ultra thin line makes it easier to fish in waters where trophy fish lurk, where currents sweep away bulky mono and polyester lines. With very little stretch, the fisherman feels every pull and tug, even with the lightest fish on. Using Ultra, it is not necessary to rear back to set the hook.

For Trolling
On fresh water or salt water, enthusiasts are able to triple the line capacity of their reels without sacrificing strength.  When trolling with Ultra line, set the drag a little looser, and use a rubber snubber to help absorb the instant shock when the fish hits.
